How a timeless green and white palette got a fresh, stylish update for Payton & Logan’s vineyard “I do”
If you’re dreaming of a classic wedding but want it to feel just a touch modern, Payton & Logan’s day at Providence Vineyard might just be the inspiration you’ve been waiting for.
Nestled in the heart of the Illinois countryside, Providence is one of those venues that feels like a breath of fresh air—white walls, rolling hills, and endless light. When Payton first reached out, her vision was rooted in timeless elegance: a green and white palette, lush florals, and that dreamy vineyard backdrop. But as we refined the design together, we decided to infuse it with something a little unexpected—pops of lime green. And oh my goodness, it was magic.
Let’s Talk Flowers
Their ceremony was garden-inspired in every way. We leaned into texture and shape with light and airy blooms—think delicate ranunculus, lush garden roses, lisianthus, and hints of hydrangea. To modernize the green and white palette, I layered in a few zesty lime elements (yes, florals can be zesty!)—it gave everything a lively, fresh feel without losing the classic heart of the design.
One of my absolute favorite details? The bridesmaids’ bouquets. Each one featured a single variety of flower—so simple, so chic. Mono-variety bouquets are such a fun way to add visual interest while still keeping everything cohesive. It’s a small touch that made a big statement…
A bow moment you’ll want to pin
And let’s not forget the taper candles. We tied each one with a black satin ribbon in the sweetest little bows. It felt editorial and feminine at the same time—and if you’ve been scrolling Pinterest lately, you know bows are having a moment. This tiny styling choice brought in the black accents we wanted without feeling too bold or heavy. It was one of those details that made guests stop and smile.
August light, love in the air
There’s just something about summer weddings in Illinois—the golden hour light, the warm breeze through the vineyard, and the kind of laughter that only happens when family and friends are all gathered in one place. Every part of Payton & Logan’s day felt joyful and intentional.
From the ceremony installation to the reception centerpieces, every floral element was designed to feel airy, refined, and timeless—with just enough modern flair to make it them.
