Meet Goda & Austin….
“Austin is one of the (at least I think) smartest people in the world and I am convinced he’ll change the world one day! He is a mechanical engineer. He is the sweetest, kindest human and goes out of his way to help anyone. I (Goda) am a registered nurse. I currently work on a oncology unit at a hospital but hope to work in a pediatric office once I get my experience. I am very outgoing and bubbly. I think we make a great pair!”
Goda went on to describe share their love story… “We have been together for almost five years. We met at NIU, where we both went to school. We are the bestest of friends and cannot wait to be married! Austin proposed to me in front of our closest family at his dad’s house! It was so sweet and special because we both are very close with our families. We are super excited for this next phase of our lives together!”
When Goda mentioned shed wanted a “very airy/free and romantic” wedding day, I knew our styles were a match made in heaven. She described her perfect wedding day to “be relaxed, loving, and fun.” And I can vouge that it was that indeed.
For her florals we wanted to work with a classic color palette. Blushes and creams with hints of blue. Goda also loved the idea of working with clouds of babies breath so we decided to work those into the elevated arrangements as well as a statement illusion arch for the ceremony.
If you’ve spent any time on my blog before, you probably already know how much I adore Lindsey Taylor. Her images are pure beauty and she is truly one of the kindest people I know!

Kind Words from the Couple:
“There are not enough words to describe how amazing Michaela is. From the beginning, she took her time to get to know my husband and I as individuals, instead of treating us just like another couple. My husband and I had specific words that we envisioned our wedding looking like, but did not have a clear idea. Michaela took those words and truly turned them and our vision into a reality. Throughout the whole planning process, we felt like she knew us and what we wanted better than we did ourselves. She is so professional, kind, talented, and felt like a friend to us the whole entire time. Throughout planning our wedding, I had random questions, changed ideas, or just needed reassurance that our vision was going to look right, Michaela always answered our questions promptly, sent me pictures of our ideas, and had scheduled extra phone calls with me just to listen to what I was thinking. As we got closer to the wedding day, Michaela checked in with us, sent us the sweetest words, and really made us feel special and excited for our big day.
When planning our wedding, my husband and I often heard people tell us “no one will remember what your flowers look like”. We are now a month out from our wedding and all of our wedding guests are STILL telling us how incredible, different, and unique our florals were. Michaela made our venue more magical than it already was. The day of the wedding, Michaela and her team were so sweet and welcoming to us and all of our other vendors. We could not recommend Michaela more to anyone, she is truly is one of a kind and we are so honored and thankful that we got to work with such a talented person.”
