Ok, ok you’ve probably heard it before- to clean up the foliage on your flower stems before putting them in water. But why?
- Well, first, it makes your vase arrangements look nicer! The leaves and extra foliage can make your vase look messy. Clean it up just a bit before you use it, and your arrangements will start to look like they’re done by a pro!
- Second, and most importantly, any extra foliage that is left under your water line will cause bacteria to build up. This also will make your arrangement look less than professional, but also will speed up the life of your arrangement and cause it to wilt faster!
