A Joy-Filled Spring Wedding with Garden-Inspired Florals at Providence Vineyard
There are some weddings where the details are beautiful, the timeline flows effortlessly, and the venue glows exactly as imagined. And then there are weddings like Macey and Garret’s Providence Vineyard wedding… weddings where joy becomes the defining design element.
From the beginning, it was clear that while Macey and Garret were deeply excited about the celebration itself, they were even more excited about the marriage waiting for them at the end of the aisle. Their Christ-centered ceremony grounded the entire day with a sense of purpose, sincerity, and warmth that guests could feel immediately. Every part of the wedding carried that same spirit: thoughtful, welcoming, deeply personal, and full of genuine celebration.
Set against the vineyard views and iconic white barn at Providence Vineyard, their spring wedding blended refined femininity with playful color, creating a design that felt elevated while still deeply inviting.
A Spring Color Palette Designed for Providence Vineyard
One of the things I loved most about this wedding floral design was how naturally it complemented the architecture and atmosphere of Providence Vineyard.
The design direction centered around soft spring tones — buttery yellows, powder blues, lavender, blush, peach, and soft greens — layered intentionally throughout the day in a way that felt cohesive without becoming overly coordinated. The result was a floral story that felt collected, airy, and celebratory.
Macey gravitated toward a slightly feminine aesthetic with garden-inspired florals that still felt refined and intentional. We incorporated delicate movement, layered textures, and thoughtful color placement throughout every floral moment, from the ceremony pergola to the reception tablescapes inside the grand hall.
The blue ombré taper candles, antique-inspired blue and white china, airy bud vases, and flowing textiles helped create a reception atmosphere that felt both elegant and approachable — exactly the balance the couple wanted for their guests.

Basket Purse Bridesmaid Florals That Became a Signature Detail
Of all the floral moments from this wedding, I’ll probably remember the bridesmaid florals forever.
Instead of traditional bouquets, we designed custom basket purse arrangements for each bridesmaid, filled with garden roses, sweet peas, ranunculus, delphinium, textural greenery, and trailing amaranthus. The floral baskets became both an accessory and a design feature, adding personality and movement while perfectly complementing the soft spring palette.
Paired with the bridesmaids’ pastel dresses and parasols outside Providence Vineyard’s white barn, the overall effect felt playful, elevated, and distinctly personal to Macey.
Meanwhile, Macey’s bridal look brought a modern sense of elegance to the garden-inspired aesthetic. Her gown felt timeless yet fashion-forward, and together with her florals, created a bridal style that felt effortless rather than overly styled.

A Christ-Centered Ceremony Beneath the Pergola
The ceremony took place beneath the Providence Vineyard pergola overlooking the vineyard, one of the venue’s most recognizable spaces.
We designed the ceremony florals to feel lush yet organic… as though the floral installation had naturally grown into the ground around it. Soft pastel blooms layered with airy greenery framed the ceremony without distracting from what mattered most: the commitment Macey and Garret were making to one another.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was how present everyone felt. Their family, friends, and vendor team all carried the same excitement and emotional investment throughout the celebration. There was so much laughter throughout the day, but also a grounded sense of intentionality that made the atmosphere feel especially memorable.

Thoughtful Reception Design Inside Providence Vineyard’s Grand Hall
Inside the grand hall, the reception design leaned into layered hospitality and intentional wedding design rather than excess.
Tables filled with taper candles in varying shades of blue created warmth and depth throughout the room, while clusters of bud vases kept the floral design feeling airy and conversational. Rather than overwhelming the tables, the florals were designed to support the guest experience — allowing conversation, candlelight, and movement to remain central to the atmosphere.
The repurposed ceremony florals framed the sweetheart table beautifully, tying the entire day together in a way that felt cohesive and thoughtful rather than repetitive.
One of my favorite design moments was the way the blue and white china interacted with the softer floral palette. It brought structure and sophistication to the more whimsical floral elements, creating a balance that felt especially fitting for Providence Vineyard’s clean, modern architecture.

Vendor Collaboration That Made the Day Feel Seamless
Weddings like this are always the result of thoughtful collaboration.
This celebration came together beautifully thanks to an incredible vendor team, including planner Simply Elegant XO, photographer Tyrie Frances Photography, venue Providence Vineyard, entertainment by Bluewater Kings Band, stationery and paper details from 9two5.co, catering by Maison Cuisine Chicago and Chic Chef Catering, rentals from Moonstone Studio Co., and beauty by Bridal Artistry Team.
There was such a genuine spirit of care throughout the day — not just from the couple, but from everyone involved in serving them well.
Planning a Providence Vineyard Wedding?
As a Chicago wedding florist, these are the kinds of celebrations I’m continually inspired by — weddings that prioritize both beauty and meaning. Macey and Garret’s wedding was a reminder that intentional wedding design is never just about aesthetics alone. The most memorable weddings are the ones where every detail supports the experience guests are having and the story the couple is telling together.
If you’re planning a wedding at Providence Vineyard, in Chicago, Lake Geneva, or throughout the Midwest and are looking for garden-inspired florals with an elevated, thoughtful approach, I would love to connect.
The best floral design doesn’t just fill a space beautifully; it helps people feel something while they’re in it.
